Thierry Mugler was born 1948 in Strasbourg, France. You may recognize his name from perfumes
and fashion, but this designer has more up his sleeve than just fashion. He is also a well known
photographer, and had an early begininng in his training as a ballet dancer. In the 70's, he
worked in Paris as a window-dresser, while designing clothes on the side. In 1973, Mugler
debuted his first collection and started his own label for women in 1975, and launched a collection
for men in 1978.
